I’ve been reading your posts about the doll quilts, and plan to participate! I definitely have orphan blocks that could be put to a good use this way. I read the comments from your first post and see that 22 x 24 is a good size for the doll quilts – does that sound right, Bernie? Thanks for telling us all about this sweet charity!

Hi Diann, Yes to the size – anything about that size is great. Thank you for helping out with this. I am so excited about it!!

This is a very sweet endeavor to participate in. It is so great that we can use our talents to provide
treasures for kids. Your quilts are sweet. The smaller quilts will be great for the little kiddos

Haha- my sister had the same allergic response when reading your Facebook page yesterday. Unfortunately she was at work and had to go to the restroom and get herself together – these allergies must be fierce right about now.☺️❤️

Yes, yes, yes. I’ve been looking for a charity project to get me excited. This is it! I’ll be sending some her way.

How nice to hear from you- it’s been a little while! Isn’t it the best feeling to help in an area that is meaningful to you? Hurray! I look forward to seeing the little quilts you make. Happy sewing!

These are so darling. A great use for those I Spy charms, too. And the floral backing! (swooning) These are going to make some children very happy!

I hope so! I am going to quilt the I-Spy project today. Superbowl isn’t a big deal for me — It mostly means I will have some sewing time this afternoon!

She is happy to help out. She isn’t one for sewing and this is an avenue for her to be able to support the project and Amy’s work.
As for size, Amy is pretty flexible. As long as it works for an 18″ doll and isn’t terribly big (so shipping costs remain reasonable.)
      Thank you Yvonne!

What a great project! And what a great way to use up some orphan blocks and practice your quilting. It’s a win-win 🙂 And having your sister accept the quilts donated in the UK is a great way to work around those pesky shipping costs.

Thank you Leanne!! If you decide you would like to participate, we will have a Canadian central location soon to help defray shipping expense for our awesome quilters in the north! Let me know if you are interested ☺️

For sure!! I am happy to use up all sorts of fabric I have had and love the idea of children playing with my little quilts. 🙂

I love this idea!! I just came across this via Diary of a Quilt post on FB today. Is February 28th the last day you will accept doll quilts? Thanks!

Hi Rose: The quilts will be accepted at any time. The only deadline that I have is for the prize drawing. All quilts finished during the month of February are eligible as one entry into the prize drawing held on March 1st. But truly, you can continue to make them. Amy loves having them to ship with her dolls. If you finish any this month, email me a picture and I will enter you. Also I will provide Amy’s shipping info at that time. Thank you so much!!
